Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries chopped
  • 1/4 cup white chocolate chips optional

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
  • In a separate large bowl, beat the softened butter and cream cheese together until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Add the granulated sugar and brown sugar to the butter mixture and beat until well combined and fluffy, about 2 more minutes.
  • Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until fully blended.
  • Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
  • Gently fold in the chopped strawberries and white chocolate chips, if using.
  • Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden but the centers still appear soft.
  • Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
