Stir in the cream of mushroom soup and ranch dressing mix until well combined.
Add the frozen mixed vegetables to the skillet and stir until evenly distributed.
Spread the beef and vegetable mixture evenly into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
Top the mixture with a layer of tater tots, arranging them in a single layer on top.
Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the tater tots.
Bake in preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
Remove from oven and let it cool slightly before serving.
